2005 candidates seek position on national board

By Quill

Very soon, delegates at the SPJ National Convention will select representatives to lead the Society in the coming years. These representatives will help determine priorities, focus agendas, make financial decisions and speak for SPJ on issues of importance to journalism.

The individuals on the following pages have indicated their intent to serve if elected. Elections will take place Oct. 16-18, in Las Vegas, during the SPJ Convention and National Journalism Conference.

Additional nominations may be made from the convention floor during the opening business session Monday, Oct. 17.

At the convention, current President-elect David Carlson will be installed as president of SPJ. No elections will take place for that position.
